Brent Family Wellbeing Centres work with voluntary, community sector providers, health and council teams to bring you a wide range of services and activities! They support families and children up to the age of 18 years old (or up to 25 for young people with additional needs).
Centres are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and some evenings and weekends.
Services on offer include –
For 6–11 year olds
• Fun fitness and family cooking
• After-school activities including sports, arts and crafts
• Applying for school places and support with transitions
• Health checks and immunisations
• Young carers group (for children 8-18 who care for family members).
For 12-18 year olds
• After-school activities including sport/ art clubs and gaming
• Education and work choices
• New activities including green projects and support for becoming an entrepreneur
• Animation, music production.
Activity programmes are available online or from your local centre and are updated termly.

Please note that you will need to register for the www.brent.gov.uk/familywellbeingcentres online and complete the consent form. Young people aged 14 and above can register themselves. This term is the launch of our Summer Family Wellbeing Centre Newsletter, designed to keep everyone informed about the activities and services available across our eight Family Wellbeing Centres in Brent.
This newsletter highlights the fantastic range of summer activities we are offering, including arts and crafts, outdoor play, family fun days, parent and baby groups, special events, and much more. It will be published termly to help families plan fun, free activities during school holidays as well as stay connected with regular weekly services.
Some key features in this edition include:
• Exciting Dads’ activities, including ‘Stay & Play’ sessions, trips, and our new Dads Fun Fridays monthly evening events.
• Infant feeding support clinics and resources, including the Anya breastfeeding app.
• Important updates on childcare support expansion starting September 2025.
• The new Parent-Infant Relationship Support Service (PAIRS) to help families with bonding and emotional wellbeing.
• Helpful parenting courses for all ages and needs.
• Information about Healthy Start, offering support for eligible families with nutritious foods and vitamins.
• A packed programme of free youth summer activities for ages 10-18 (and up to 25 with additional needs).
• Bright Smiles for Brent Kids free dental checks happening across Brent libraries this summer.
