Brent Works is a free service providing job and apprenticeship opportunities for local people aged 16+, across a range of sectors, including construction.

Current apprenticeships and jobs are advertised on the Brent website

Brent Works gives you:

  • One-to-one advice and guidance towards finding work
  • Connects residents to jobs and apprenticeships within Brent and across London
  • Opportunity to work with training providers to upskill and prepare you for employment

The Brent Works team are here to support you into meaningful employment, and take the steps needed to get there. If you are age 16-24 and looking for an apprenticeship, sign up to the Brent Works apprenticeship mailing list and be the first to hear of new vacancies.

MOVING ON UP

The Moving on Up project supports young black men aged 16-24 living in Brent to fulfil their career potential. The programme is delivered by a partnership of local community organisations in partnership with Brent Council, Jobcentre Plus and other partners. Moving on Up can support any young men aged 16-24, living in Brent from a black background. The programme has experienced skills trainers, links with employers and a dedicated group of mentors to support participants.  
 

The partnership can provide the following support to employed and unemployed participants:

  • One to one guidance and advice from a dedicated employment advisor. 
  • Access to excellent opportunities and support to apply for these roles.
  • Possible link to a mentor from the participant’s desired field to help them progress & grow in their chosen career.
  • In work support for the participants to aid their transition into the new role.
