Brent Start

Brent Start is Brent Council's adult learning provider, running courses in community centres across the borough to help provide more opportunities for local people to develop skills, confidence and careers. You can study math's, English and languages, as well as a range of vocational courses from business, ICT and retail to beauty therapy, counselling and childcare. Most courses lead to nationally recognized qualifications.

Brent Start also offers leisure, community-based and family learning courses and workshops from four centres in Willesden Library, Ealing Road, Wembley and Stonebridge. Courses for adults with learning difficulties are also available and additional learning support is provided for students with disabilities.

We have a range of courses for adults with mild to moderate learning disabilities and help them develop skills for work and provide opportunities for work experience through external partners. We also offer courses to support and develop everyday life skills to help them live independently in the community, which we run onsite in our Living Flat.
