The Social Switch Project

Our Digital Skills and Pre-Employability Programme is FREE for people aged 16 - 30 living in London.

The Social Switch Project is switching the narrative on how barriers affecting young people are understood, tackled, and solved. To truly have an impact on marginalised young people in London we must tackle the cause; disenfranchised young people operating in a radically changing world, often without positive alternatives.

We recognise that every young person has different needs, so we offer a wide range of support that is tailored to each individual young person. Young people can select what they require from our extensive menu of support which includes:
• 1-to-1 tailored career coaching
• paid work experience
• access to new opportunities
• support with transport costs
• acquiring photo ID
• in-work support
• DBS checks
• recording studio time
• IT and internet support
• interview clothing
• further training or short courses
• and so much more...

Trusted Adults Training

In a world where young people's social media use is on the rise, the risks associated with it cannot be ignored. The Social Switch Online Harms training is specifically designed to support parents, carers, guardians, and trusted adults in navigating the online world and understanding the potential risks it brings.
By addressing key questions such as the effects of overusing social media, achieving a balance between the real and online worlds, and understanding the risks of online harms, our training aims to equip participants with the knowledge needed to protect young individuals from potential dangers.

The sessions are designed to be short, sweet, and informative, ensuring that valuable insights are delivered efficiently. Attendees will gain the tools to guide young people in making informed decisions and reporting problems promptly, preventing potential devastating consequences.

Upcoming Training Dates:
Monday, 12th February: 7pm - 8:30pm
Wednesday, 28th February: 10:30am - 12pm
Thursday, 14th March: 6:30pm - 8pm
