Talking therapies service Brent

Talking Therapies Service Brent is a free and confidential NHS service for people who are registered with a GP in the borough.

We offer short-term psychological interventions to individuals aged 16 and above suffering from common mental health difficulties such as depression and low mood, anxiety, stress and worry, trauma, relationship difficulties, loss and bereavement. Clients may self-refer to our service but must be registered with a Brent GP. This service is available to anyone who lives, works, studies and/or has a GP in Brent

We have noticed an increase in levels of distress that our patients are presenting with; therefore, as a Trust, we would like to reach out to the community to support those in distress and support organisations such as yours, to support the local community you serve.

Attached is a leaflet which you can distribute/share with community members (who also have a translated version).

The service can offer support to people who are experiencing feelings of sadness, low motivation or energy sleep difficulties, worry, stress and panic. The service can provide:

  • telephone support
  • workshops to help you better manage stress, low mood and sleeping difficulties
  • online support and therapy
  • face-to-face support in the Brent area
  • employment advice and signposting to other relevant services in the local area

If you think you might be anxious or depressed, then you can refer yourself by calling the service, sending an email, or using the online self-referral form. You can also ask your GP or any health professional to be referred.
