With GCSE results being released this tomorrow, we know this is a crucial time for many young people as they consider their next steps. At First Rung, we specialise in supporting students who may be looking for an alternative to sixth form or college, and we would love to work alongside you to ensure your learners are aware of all their options.
What we offer:
• Vocational training programmes in, Business and Health & Social Care, alongside retaking English and maths GCSE or functional skills.
• First Rung Pathways to help young people build confidence, employability skills, and the qualifications they need to progress. They will gain a Level 2 qualification in either Business Administration, Bookkeeping or introduction to Early Years and progress either onto an apprenticeship or a Level 3 course.
• Apprenticeships with local employers, allowing students to earn while they learn. We have apprenticeship in Business, Childcare, Accounting and Teaching Assistant.
• A supportive environment where every learner receives tailored guidance and mentoring.
How we can support your school:
• On GCSE results day call Emily Wilde on 07511 873013 to get more information and to book an interview.
• Providing digital information materials, you can share with students and parents on results day.
• Acting as a referral partner for those who may not meet entry requirements elsewhere but still want a positive, supported pathway.
We are passionate about helping young people find the right fit for their skills, interests, and aspirations. For some, that will mean continuing into A-levels or college, but for others, a vocational or apprenticeship route could be the start of an exciting career.
If you would like us to provide resources, or arrange a follow-up session with interested students, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly. Please also tell other careers advisors/ anyone who works with young people.
