Support may take the form of:
•One-to-one lessons - an extra lesson with a Learning Support Lecturer to help students develop skills in areas such as planning and drafting assignments, proof reading, spelling, reading and numeracy.
•Drop-in sessions - Held at various times in the week to give students the opportunity to ask questions or get help if they cannot wait until their next learning support lesson or want to do some self-study
•Exam concessions - Special arrangements exams (extra time, reader, scribe etc) can be put in place for eligible students.
Communication Support Worker - to offer communication support for students with hearing loss (including BSL, lip reading & notetaking), suitable to the needs and preference of the students to enable access to learning.
Mentor - 1:1 sessions supporting student to find solutions to issues such as managing emotions, problems relating to family and friendship, self-confidence and sexuality.
