Special Yoga Centre in Queen's Park

The charity believes that its holistic approach to yoga can have a positive and profound effect on the health and wellbeing of children with SEND and the challenges they face in their everyday lives. Run by experienced therapeutic yoga teachers, the programme includes classes for children and young people with autism and ADHD, parent workshops, family activities and sessions for the wider community, from beginners to those with more experience. In addition, the foundation also offers professional training so that parents, teachers and paediatric professionals have the knowledge and skills to provide yoga as a therapeutic intervention to children and adults.

Our organisation has had some significant changes that allow us to be even more impactful in the lives of young people.

Without a physical space, we have been able to increase our reach through our online platforms where we offer effective training that is targeted at young people with SEN, and young people who are struggling with anxiety and stress.  We are also better able to support our special yoga practitioners in their delivery of services to children and young people.  We have a number of Brent based practitioners.

We continue to train teachers, parents, educators, care workers, health professionals and many more to share yoga with children and adults with SEN. This is done through our online platform.
