Quotes from young people

Working at a Hilton Hotel was undoubtedly one of the highlights for one trainee during his Business Administration programme with Skills Training UK. The 17-year-old developed his skills during a rewarding four-week work placement in the human resources and administration offices at the Ealing Hilton Hotel. He said: Honestly I loved it. I learned so much, such as how to work in an office environment, how to establish and develop professional working connections and generally meeting and communicating with a whole range of new people. I was so excited and happy when I found out about getting the work placement and it really lived up to my expectations and helped with my studying. My communication confidence and ability to work in a team were all areas I wanted to improve during my qualification and I achieved all three.
