Acting Lab: Text and Performance starting at the Orange Tree
Please see details below and pass on to your members if you think it's something they'd be keen for.
Our Acting Lab: Text & Performance is an opportunity to develop your performance skills specifically in relation to working on duologues. You’ll work on scripts by established playwrights in a fun, supportive environment. You’ll develop skills in mining texts to build a character, responding to other actors and bringing a script to life in performance.
You can book here: https://orangetreetheatre.co.uk/whats-on/actinglabs25/
Over the course of five weeks, you will:
• Explore how to build a character from the text
• Deepen your understanding of scene structure and dramatic action
• Develop your ability to listen and respond to other actors in scene work
• Experiment with different approaches to creating and embodying a character
• Increase your confidence in performance
Our Acting Lab is an open space for you to learn new skills or sharpen your craft with a group of like-minded individuals.
Open to anyone aged 18+. No previous experience is necessary – just a sense of curiosity!
