Japan Youth Collective
The Japan Society London is looking for young people to join the Japan Youth Collective, a new free initiative for 16-19 year olds with an interest in Japan and its culture. It connects young people in London with the Japan Society for an 8-month programme to think, discover and inspire!
What is the Japan Youth Collective?
Run by the Japan Society, it's a space for young people to get together and explore their interest in Japan. Collective members will have the opportunity to make friends and develop skills for the future while working alongside experts and professionals in Japan-related fields.
Who is the Japan Youth Collective for?
• 16-19 year olds in London or the Greater London area
• Those interested in Japan and keen to learn more while developing personal and professional skills
• Those with limited opportunities to learn about Japan through other avenues
We’re looking for members with a range of backgrounds, experiences, and interests to join us, especially those who are under-represented in this field.

The Programme
Collective members will gather for a 2-day summer orientation in August 2023. In the months following, members will meet fortnightly for catch-up sessions and Japan Labs, practical sessions to explore the Collective's interests.
Applications open 30 May and the deadline is the Sunday 9th July
