The academy represents the practical and mental ethos of Impact Dance for young people aged 7-17 years. We aim to allow ordinary young people to achieve extra-ordinary things through the medium of dance, all the time teaching leadership and life skills to equip the youth with the capacity to realise their potential and become a Fully Functioning Individual. This is done through our core group of teachers. The teachers that represent the company are trained to deliver high quality classes all within the ethos of the company. We have two academies in London and aim to motivate, lead and inspire through the companies 23 years of experience.
RISE is an Artist Development Opportunity, taking place in Spring 2025. The scheme will give up to three dance artists currently creating work access to Impact Dance’s state-of-the-art dance studio, one-to-one guidance, and an informal Artist Development Sharing in March 2025.
Successful dance artists will receive:
• One-to-one guidance and advice
• Up to five days of in-kind studio space (based on artist’s needs and studio availability)
• A place in our Artist Development Sharing on Tuesday 25th March 2025 to share, discuss or perform your work to an informal audience of industry and invited guests.
We are committed to supporting dance artists who face systemic inequality, due to ethnicity, disability, background, or access to opportunity.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss the scheme further, please contact kim@impactdance.co.uk.
To apply please complete the application form here. The deadline for applications is 31st January.
Studio space available from January 2025.
Thank you so much for your continuous support. Our Concept Video and 4X4 Dance Competition posts are killing it on Insta and it's all down to you! It's been great hearing from some of you and we look forward to working more closely with you over the coming months.
