Empowering Deaf Society (EDS) is a deaf-led charity providing a variety of services supporting deaf people and local communities across Greater London. Its aim is to enable deaf people to create their own independence and eliminate barriers that they may face.

A range of support includes:

  • Workshops and events focusing on health, leisure and everyday skills
  • Employment support
  • Information and advice
  • Accredited British Sign Language (BSL) courses
  • Children’s activities
  • Trips
  • Deaf awareness training to hearing people and organisations in various areas including education, health and employment.
  • Advice and support service, by appointment only.
