DFN Project Search - Supported Internships programme

 Brent Supported Internships Open Day

Are you a SEND Brent resident aged 17-25 with an Education, Health, and Care Plan and keen to progress into paid work?¬¬¬¬

Join us at the Supported Internships (DFN Project SEARCH) for a day of learning and networking.

This information event is aimed to candidates interested in enrolling on the next programme, and their families.

• Venue: Wembley Park, Brent Civic Centre,
• Tue, 25 Feb 2025 13:00 pm - 16:00 pm

The programme begins in September 2025 and applications are now open.

Based at Brent Civic Centre, this opportunity for young people with special educational needs and disabilities will see you working across the business to build transferable, real, useful work skills and prepare you to gain employment by the end of the programme.

This exciting full-time programme involves placements and classroom learning and is fully supported by job coaches, an onsite teacher, and department managers and mentors.

Eligibility:

• Age 17-25
• EHC plan
• Entry 1 – Level 1 English and Maths
• Desire to progress into paid work
• Independent traveller or willing to achieve this before the start of the programme
• DBS, background checks required.
• Must meet UK right to work eligibility.
• Brent resident
