Community Club

Applications for our Community Club programme are now open.

Community Club offers ten London community groups working with people aged 18+ the opportunity to build a relationship with The Old Vic and a partner arts venue in Lambeth, through a programme of free workshops and performances. Participating groups will receive:

• Three free workshops for up to 30 people
• Up to 30 free tickets per group to see three Old Vic performances starting with A Christmas Carol (This includes the opportunity to attend a Relaxed Performance on Saturday 10 December 2022. This performance has been especially designed for people that have an Autism Spectrum Condition, anxiety disorder, learning disability or those who would benefit from a more informal environment)
• Up to 30 free tickets to see one show at another arts venue in Lambeth
• A theatre open day where they can come and explore inside and learn more about different jobs in theatre
• A CPD opportunity for Group Leaders led by theatre industry professionals

Community Club supports equality of access to the arts and we are committed to removing barriers which may ordinarily exclude people from accessing theatre. This programme is open to any community groups in London working with people aged 18+.

The pre-show workshops will introduce the story and themes from the show through the lens of a prospective theatre maker (for example a director or producer) and offer a fun, social and creative experience. No experience of taking part in a drama workshop is necessary.

Applications for our Community Club programme will close at 10am on Monday 31 October. Apply now via our website https://www.oldvictheatre.com/discover/community/community-club/

If you have any questions about the programme at all and how we can make sure your group feels supported, please send us an email at ovcommunity@oldvictheatre.com.
