Brent Youth Parliament, (BYP) is the voice that represents the 77,500 young people in Brent. Founded in 2007, the members strive to amplify the opinions of Brent's youth in the local council. We meet on the last Saturday of every month at the Brent Civic Centre to discuss important issues, which young people face on a regular basis.
BYP is a group for young people in Brent to express their views and have a say about decisions that affect them.
The youth parliament is made up of young people aged 10-19 years old, from all walks of life.
Parliament members decide on the issues that they want to look at (these are called portfolios) and then work with councillors and council officers to bring about changes that will improve local services for young people.
Members also choose one campaign that they want to work on every year.
When and where is it?
The BYP meets every last Saturday of the month from 10am-1pm at Brent Civic Centre.
