Brent Young People Thrive

Brent Young People Thrive (BYPT) is a new service which aims to empower young people and their families and reduce the stigma that can be associated with mental health.

Aimed at children, young people and parents who live and work in Brent, it can also be accessed by local schools, GPs, children's centres, voluntary groups and statutory organisations.

At the heart of BYPT's work is capturing the voice of the child and identifying key themes that will inform child and adolescent mental health service development and transformation.

BYPT offers:

  • Mental health workshops for primary and secondary-aged pupils
  • Presentations at assemblies
  • Mental health awareness training
  • Focus groups for parents
  • A children and young person's forum
  • Information and advice about where to go if you need support
  • Talks at conferences and community venues

If you are aged 13 and over, passionate about mental health and keen to get some volunteering experience, you can also receive free mental health champion training to help spread awareness about the issue in your school and local community.
