Have you always been passionate about politics? Are you curious to find out more about how our political system works? Do you want to make real change?
I Have A Voice is committed to putting young people at the heart of politics. Through our Youth Ambassador programme, we aim to equip you with a range of skills that are essential to a successful political campaign, whilst ensuring you are confident in articulating your own opinions. To achieve this, we organise regular talks and workshops from public affairs professionals and civil servants from anything on writing press releases, letters to your local MP and even careers advice for those wanting to pursue a career in politics.
Our Youth Ambassadors have been able to represent IHAV at a variety of events nationally and internationally, meeting MPs and featuring in the news. One of our Youth Ambassadors travelled to Estonia to discuss their campaign on a UN environment panel!
You’ll be joining a flourishing network of over 80 Youth Ambassadors from across the UK. We are keen to see the Youth Ambassador programme expand even more with IHAV employing a team of Youth Ambassadors to ensure the programme is for young people ran by young people.
Our message is simple: to engage, educate and empower young people. So, what are you waiting for? Be the change you want to see and join the Youth Ambassador programme today!
We are looking for new Ambassadors, aged between 16 and 23, to join one of four existing campaigns.
The fours campaigns are:
1. Anti-fast-fashion
2. Championing disability rights
3. Political education for all
4. Eradicating discrimination in our classrooms and curriculum
We work as a team to decide on our campaigning priorities on a monthly basis and are often joined on our monthly calls by a relevant expert e.g. press manager, civil servant, political influencer, social media influencer. Our aim is to give you the necessary tools to engage in the UK's democratic processes and play your role as an active citizen. Our Ambassadors are based up and down the country and so we operate largely online.
