Audiology Service

Audiology is provided for children and young people who are deaf or have hearing difficulties. The service aims to identify, assess and provide appropriate intervention and offers:

  • a specialist audiologist who is trained to work with children, and a paediatric consultant audio-vestibular physician
  • specialist assessment of children with complex needs, multiple disabilities or serious or complex hearing loss, who need wider clinical input from an audio-vestibular physician
  • fitting of hearing aids, medical management and long-term support to families.
