Afasic was founded as a parent-led organisation that helps children and young people with speech and language impairments and their families. The charity provides information and training for parents and professionals and has a network of local groups in many areas of the UK.
Working in partnership with local and national government, professional and statutory bodies and other voluntary organisations, Afasic also seeks to raise awareness and create better services for children and young people with speech and language impairments.
