Brent Children and Families Information Service

The Brent Children and Families Information Service provides you with information on a range of services and activities for children and young people aged 0 to 19 years old (and up to 25 years for young people with special needs).

The Brent Children and Families Information Service provides information on:

  • activities for families, children and young people
  • childcare provision in the London Borough of Brent
  • free early education entitlements for 2, 3 and 4 year olds 
  • Family Wellbeing centres
  • local and national services and voluntary organisations which offer information advice support to families with children
  • support available to children and young people with special education needs and disabilities
  • financial support available to assist with the costs of childcare

We provide information, advice and guidance to:

  • families who want information about support available
  • childcare providers
  • people who are interested in a childminding career
  • people who are interested in working in the childcare profession or wanting to set up childcare provision (e.g. nursery/playgroup/before and after school club/holiday playschemes)
  • professionals currently working with children and families
  • those interested in setting up a childcare provision
  • volunteering opportunities including becoming a parent champion (a parent who shares information with other parents)
